Good news for Cornish post offices

I welcome the fact that Business Secretary Peter Mandelson is committed to finding ways to broaden the range of services offered by the Post Office network.
The Post Office Card Account decision makes a real difference for the one in eight people in Falmouth and Truro who have one of these cards. The pre-budget report also included news that the Post Office network will offer Savings Gateway services.
Now a Select Committee will be looking at what other services post offices could provide to ensure the network is more viable in future.
This is good news for local communities in Cornwall. I hope people will write in to explain the importance of their local post office and with ideas for their future.
